Which major US banks and credit unions have Zelle, and the sending limits each one publishes.

Of the 43 banks and credit unions checked on their own pages, 41 offer Zelle in their app or online banking. Alliant Credit Union says Zelle is coming starting in early 2027. Global Credit Union identifies itself as a nonparticipating institution in its former-FFNW FAQ. Zelle’s own pages say more than 2,300 financial institutions take part, so check your bank there if it is not below.

Zelle has no limit of its own: each bank sets how much you can send, and many show it only inside the app. The table lists the limit where the bank publishes one. Open a bank for its wire fees, cutoff times and sources.

How to read the limits

A published limit is the most you can send; many banks lower it for new enrollees or new accounts and raise it for older ones, as Bank of America (after 60 days), M&T Bank (after 100 days) and Zions Bank (Tier 2 after a year) state. Receiving is usually not limited: Chase, Discover, American Express, Zions Bank, Old National Bank and Bank OZK say so on their own pages.

Two changes to watch: Discover Money Market accounts lose Zelle from October 8, 2026 under a notice dated August 18, 2026, and Alliant says Zelle is coming starting in early 2027. Both are on their bank pages with sources.
