Zelle is available in the mobile app
Desert Financial says active personal online-banking users can enroll in Zelle with an email address or U.S. mobile number. Payments to an already enrolled person typically arrive within minutes. Both sides need an eligible U.S. checking or savings account.
The credit union does not charge to send or receive through Zelle. It does not post one public send ceiling: its page says the amount and frequency are set by the institution and directs members to customer service at 602-433-7000 for the current limit. It does state that Desert Financial places no limit on what a member can receive.
A payment to an enrolled recipient cannot be reversed. A pending payment can be canceled only while the recipient has not enrolled. Desert Financial also says neither it nor Zelle provides purchase protection for an authorized payment.

Wire fees in the current schedule
The fee schedule marked current as of May 12, 2026 lists a $20 outgoing domestic wire, a $10 incoming wire and a $60 outgoing international funds transfer. A wire trace costs $10. Rewards+ membership waives the incoming-wire fee, according to the schedule’s footnote.
| Transfer | Published fee |
|---|---|
| Domestic wire, outgoing | $20 |
| Incoming wire | $10 |
| International funds transfer, outgoing | $60 |
| Wire trace | $10 |
Desert Financial’s checking FAQ says domestic wire requests received by 1 p.m. Monday through Friday go the same day; later and Saturday requests move to the next business day. The page does not label a time zone, so this record does not convert that cutoff to Eastern Time. Consumer international requests may be initiated Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

External transfers take up to five business days
Standard incoming and outgoing external transfers carry no Desert Financial fee. Its online-banking FAQ says they can take up to five business days after the transfer date.
The credit union also offers an instant-payment option. The published fee is 1.75% of the amount, with a $0.25 minimum and $25 maximum. This is a separate bank-to-bank service, not a Zelle fee.
If a payment is late, first identify the rail: Zelle, an external ACH transfer and a wire have different timing and trace steps. See Zelle payment pending, ACH transfer pending and wire transfer not received.
