Zelle limits appear after sign-in
Patelco and Zelle both list the credit union as a participant. Members can send, receive or request money in Patelco Online or the mobile app. Patelco charges no fee for the service, and transactions to enrolled users typically arrive within minutes.
The credit union restricts both the number and dollar value of outgoing payments over rolling 24-hour and 30-day periods. It does not publish a universal amount: the member sees the remaining daily limit beside the limits icon after signing in. Patelco says there is no limit on the amount a member can receive through Zelle.
A payment cannot be reversed after it reaches an enrolled recipient. Patelco allows cancellation only while the recipient has not enrolled, so the displayed name, email address or U.S. mobile number should be checked before sending.

Domestic wires and the 1 p.m. PT cutoff
Patelco’s fee schedule, effective January 1, 2026, lists a $20 outgoing domestic wire, a $10 incoming domestic wire and a $15 incoming international wire. The credit union currently supports outgoing wires only to domestic banks; it supports incoming wires from domestic and international banks.
| Transfer | Published fee |
|---|---|
| Domestic wire, outgoing | $20 |
| Domestic wire, incoming | $10 |
| International wire, incoming | $15 |
The money-movement page says a domestic outgoing request received before 1 p.m. PT on a business day can go the same day. Later requests move to the next business day. Wire limits depend on available funds.
Commitment Household members may have the listed wire fees waived. That eligibility note is different from saying every Patelco account gets free wires.

Free bank transfers take two to three business days
Patelco’s comparison table lists external bank transfers at two to three business days and no fee. That is the ordinary option for moving money between accounts at different institutions. It is not a promise that Zelle, bill pay and wires follow the same schedule.
If money is missing, identify the transfer method before sending again. Use Zelle payment pending, ACH transfer pending or wire transfer not received for the matching checks.
