Does Security Service FCU have Zelle? Yes. Security Service and Zelle both identify the credit union as a participant. Its checking pages place Zelle in the mobile app, with eligible checking or savings accounts required on both sides. Power Protected Checking costs $9 per month and includes domestic wire transfers free of charge. That wire benefit belongs to the named checking product, not every account.

Zelle is in the mobile app

Security Service describes sending and receiving money with Zelle through its mobile app. Zelle’s own participant page confirms that Security Service FCU offers the service. Use the credit union’s app rather than treating its participation as a separate payment account.

The eligibility footnote says both parties must have an eligible checking or savings account. The credit union also requires membership eligibility for its products. A listing in the Zelle network does not make every account eligible; check the account you intend to use before arranging a payment.

Security Service says transactions between enrolled users typically occur in minutes. That describes an enrolled-user payment, not a guarantee for every transfer or a deadline for a bank wire.

A domestic-wire benefit tied to a $9 checking account

The Power Protected Checking product page explicitly includes domestic wire transfers among its free banking services. It also states a $9 monthly account price. Keep those two facts together when comparing the cost of sending money: the wire-service waiver does not remove the account’s monthly cost.

The same product lists official checks and money orders as free banking services. It does not turn an international wire into a domestic one or establish an international-wire price. Confirm the service, destination and applicable account terms before ordering a transfer.

Power Checking is a different account from Power Protected Checking. Its eStatement condition and paper-statement price should not be mistaken for a Zelle fee. Likewise, the premium account’s wire waiver should not be copied to the basic account.

Compare the named benefit with other institutions in wire transfer cutoff times by bank. A fee and a same-day cutoff answer different questions.

Early direct deposit is not faster Zelle

Power Protected Checking advertises eligible direct deposits up to two business days early. Its footnote says early availability is discretionary, is not guaranteed and can vary between payments from the same payer. Eligible deposits include payroll, pension and government benefits sent through ACH, the automated clearing house network.

The same footnote excludes person-to-person payment services such as Zelle, Venmo and PayPal, as well as other online transfers. Do not apply the “two days early” claim to a Zelle payment or a wire. The rail and the account feature both matter.

If a payment needs attention

Check the transfer type and the account activity before sending again. A recipient waiting for Zelle and a recipient waiting for a wire need different references and different checks. Use the support channel in Security Service’s official app or website for your account.

For the underlying checks, read Zelle payment pending, cancel a Zelle payment or wire transfer not received. Do not pay a third party promising to recover a transfer.
