Does Mountain America Credit Union have Zelle? Yes. Its Zelle page requires an eligible US checking or savings account in good standing for 90 days. Mountain America charges no fee to use Zelle in the app. Its separate wire-fee help page lists $10 incoming wires, $15 outgoing wires and $30 international wires.

Enrollment and the 90-day condition

Mountain America provides Zelle through its mobile banking app. Its instructions describe selecting Send Money with Zelle from the Transfer & Pay menu and following the enrollment prompts.

The account-age condition matters for a new member: the credit union’s page says the account must be in good standing for 90 days. Zelle participation by the institution does not mean every newly opened account is immediately eligible.

For receiving, use the email address or US mobile number enrolled to the intended account. If an address or number is already enrolled at another institution, Mountain America describes a Transfer prompt during enrollment to move it. Confirm which account the identifier points to before asking someone to pay.

Sending limits and delivery

The amount and frequency of Zelle payments are set by each participating institution. Mountain America’s page asks members to call 1-800-748-4302 to determine their sending limits. A dollar figure from another institution is not the Mountain America limit.

Mountain America says there is no limit on how much you receive through Zelle, but the sender can have their own sending cap. For enrolled consumers, the page describes payments typically arriving within minutes.

“Typically” leaves room for a transaction needing attention. Keep the reference and check the account activity when a payment has not arrived; see Zelle payment pending.

Canceling or reporting a payment

Mountain America says Zelle payments cannot be reversed. The cancellation option applies only when the recipient has not enrolled. In activity, choose the pending payment and look for Cancel This Payment.

If no cancellation option appears, contact the service center for assistance. For a payment to the wrong person, Mountain America says to call immediately. The credit union’s support number is 1-800-748-4302.

Neither Mountain America nor Zelle provides purchase protection. Sending to an unfamiliar seller is not equivalent to paying with a service that protects a purchase.

Wire fees are separate from Zelle

These are the fees named on the credit union’s wire help page. A wire is a different rail from a Zelle payment; no Zelle service fee does not make every money-transfer service free.

Check the terms that apply to your account and the instructions for the destination before ordering a wire. For a wire that has not arrived, use the bank’s reference and tracing process described in wire transfer not received, rather than submitting a second wire without knowing the first one’s status.
