Pending, late, sent to the wrong person or to a scammer: find your case and what to do first.

A payment that has not landed usually has an ordinary reason: a recipient who has not enrolled, a bank’s cutoff time, a weekend or Federal Reserve holiday, or a review by the bank or app. Pick the way you sent the money below. Each guide says what the status means, how long it can last, what you can still cancel and who can act on it.

What happened Where to start
A Zelle payment says pending Zelle payment pending
I sent Zelle to the wrong person or amount Can you cancel a Zelle payment
I was tricked into sending money by Zelle Zelle scam refund
A wire has not arrived Wire transfer not received
A bank transfer or direct deposit is pending ACH transfer pending
Cash App, Venmo or PayPal shows pending Cash App, Venmo, PayPal
Coinbase shows funds but will not let me cash out Coinbase available balance

Only your bank or app can look up, cancel or recall a payment. Contact it through the number on your card or in the app, and check your bank’s own limits and cutoff times on its page in our bank list.

Warning

Anyone who offers to recover lost money or crypto for a fee is a known scam pattern. We do not work with recovery services, and we will never ask for your account details.
