The US credit unions that use Zelle, where members find it, and the limits each one publishes.

Of the 12 credit unions we checked on their own pages, 10 offer Zelle to members: Navy Federal, PenFed, BECU, Golden 1, SchoolsFirst FCU, America First, Mountain America, Security Service FCU, Desert Financial and Patelco. Alliant does not offer it yet and says Zelle is coming starting in early 2027. Global Credit Union calls itself a nonparticipating institution. Zelle works inside each credit union’s own app, so the credit union sets your limit.

What the limits mean for members

Zelle has no limit of its own. Each credit union sets the most you can send, and most of the ones above show it only after you sign in. Of the 12, only Navy Federal and SchoolsFirst FCU print dollar figures on their public pages. Golden 1, Desert Financial and Patelco say they do not limit what you receive.

Two credit unions add eligibility rules on their own pages: SchoolsFirst FCU requires members to be 18 or older with a checking account in good standing, and Mountain America requires an account in good standing for 90 days.

If your credit union is not here

Zelle’s own pages say more than 2,300 financial institutions take part. Search for yours on Zelle’s list of banks and credit unions or open your credit union’s app. If it does not offer Zelle, an external ACH transfer from online banking still moves money between your own accounts at other institutions; how long does ACH take explains the timing.

For banks as well as credit unions, see banks that use Zelle. For timing once a payment is sent, see how long does Zelle take, and for Navy Federal’s tiers in detail, the Navy Federal Zelle limit page.
