Short answer
Zelle multiple bank accounts are managed through enrollment details, not by sending one payment to several accounts. Zelle says an email address or U.S. mobile number can be enrolled with only one bank account. To change the account used for sending and receiving, contact your bank or use its documented account-change process.

Start with the email address or phone number
The enrollment detail matters because it is what a sender uses to reach you. A friend who has your email address saved is not necessarily sending to the bank account you currently have in mind. Before requesting money, check which account your bank has linked to the email address or mobile number you are giving the sender. Zelle’s profile FAQ states the one-account restriction for an enrolled email address or U.S. mobile number. It directs customers to their bank or credit union for changes. That leaves the precise account-switching steps with the institution: do not assume a menu path shown by one bank also exists at another.
Changing banks or receiving accounts
First inspect your existing enrollment in the bank’s app or online banking. If you want to change the receiving account, follow that bank’s Zelle instructions or ask its support team to explain the change. Then verify the enrollment in the account that should receive future payments.
Tell regular senders which verified email address or mobile number to use. Keep the notification and the actual account credit separate: a message about a payment is not a substitute for checking the receiving account. The guide to receiving money with Zelle covers the receiving process.
If the bank reports that your email address or phone number is already enrolled elsewhere, resolve that enrollment with bank support before asking someone to resend. Creating repeated payments while the destination is unclear can complicate the problem.
A pending payment needs its own check
Changing your enrollment and resolving an existing payment are different tasks. If someone has already sent money, ask the sender to check that payment’s status and the exact email address or number used. Give those details to your bank through its official support channel.
Do not promise that changing enrollment will redirect an earlier payment. For status-specific steps, use Zelle payment pending. If the sender chose the wrong recipient, the separate cancellation guide explains the limits of cancellation.
