Why it matters

Small businesses that pay suppliers through Bill Pay now face a price gap between funding methods. Paying out of PYUSD, PayPal’s dollar stablecoin, costs nothing under the new schedule. Paying with a card adds a fixed fee, and PayPal itself says some of those payments will cost more than before.

The notice says the Bill Pay section of the Merchant Fees page is being amended, so that page is where the figure lives.

What to do

  • Before your next card-funded Bill Pay run, open PayPal’s Merchant Fees page and check the fixed fee that applies to you.
  • If you are thinking about paying out in PYUSD, read how stablecoin transfers work first: stablecoin transfers explained. A stablecoin sent to the wrong address or network can be impossible to get back.
  • Personal accounts: nothing in this notice changes your fees.

This is not financial advice.
