Why it matters

The useful moment for safety settings is before a payment, not after. The hub puts the main setting, Security Lock, next to the scam guides. Security Lock requires a passcode, Touch ID or Face ID to open Cash App or to move money.

The hub also gives one starting point if something already went wrong: steps to protect the account and a way to report the issue to Cash App. Block also said its automated voice support now fully resolves almost half of eligible calls. That is the company’s own figure.

What to do

  • Open Account Safety in the app and turn on Security Lock if it is off.
  • Review your notification settings so you see every payment.
  • If you were scammed or hacked, follow the hub’s steps and report it to Cash App in the app. Contact Cash App only through the app or cash.app, not through numbers or accounts found on social media.

If a payment is stuck rather than stolen, see Cash App payment pending.
